At the TikTok World event yesterday, several new features were launched for e-merchants who want to advertise their products on the TikTok platform. We'll go through some of these below as some thoughts on TikTok Shopping going forward and what we think this means for advertisers and users.

TikTok is growing stronger in the market and has now released its updated ad placements for advertisers who want to market to TikTok's target audiences on the platform.
E-commerce is something that is growing stronger and even though restrictions are now being eased, we are seeing a continued increase in consumption coming from digital commerce.
TikTok will offer several options for e-merchants to connect to the platform as easily as possible.
TikTok Total E-Commerce Solution ( Beta )
TikTok is currently testing a full service solution for e-retailers who want to avoid logistics and distribution of their products, but like Amazon, they offer warehousing, logistics and delivery of products directly from their own warehouse. This is currently being tested in Indonesia and the UK but will probably be rolled out as demand increases.
TikTok Advertising for E-Commerce
All e-tailers have seen a big impact when working with the product catalogue linked to Facebook and Instagram. Now TikTok offers exactly the same and with the help of various partner integrations they make it easy for you to connect your product catalogue to TikTok's ad center where you also create your ads.

TIKTOK Product links
TikTok product links are very similar to what many people recognize as Instagram Shopping tags. Where you can put a product in your ad and this will get a link directly to the product and its information. From here the user can then click and be taken to your page on the website where you can purchase the product.
TIKTOK Collection ADS
With collection ads, advertisers can now include a picture of the product and focus and a link to their collection that opens directly in the app where you can see and follow links directly to the product page.

TIKTOK Dynamic shopping ads
TikTok Dynamic Shopping ads are just like Facebook's DPA ads, where you can use retargeting to show relevant products linked to what the user has shown interest in, either through engagement with different videos and products in your catalogue or based on data from your TikTok Pixel.
TIKTOK LIVE Shopping
Through LIVE shopping you can post product links that your viewers can directly interact with and via e.g. a live demo they can directly access your product on the website via Live.

"The magic of TikTok happens in the For You page, where e-commerce content is recommended to our users in the same way as short videos and live streams. TikTok is a place where users and brands can connect directly, and where an end-to-end shopping experience can happen organically. That's the basis on which we're building a long-term commerce division," he said.
